If you are interested in plants and organic food, but you are living in a small apartment and you cannot afford buying only organic food, there is a solution! The right solution for you is windows farming. But, they may be expensive for your budget, so you cannot afford them. Luckily, you can make your own. It can be even better than original, because you don’t need to follow any regulation.
The easiest solution is to use plastic bottles. Beside them, you must have, a thin rope and soil. The first step is to cut plastic bottles in half. You will use only bottom halves. Drill a hole at the bottom. The holes should be very small, about 1-2 cm. With a thin rope, tie the halves of the bottles (on two places, so they can hang horizontally). Tie the 5 bottle halves, one under another. Remember than all bottle halves should have holes at the bottom, only the last bottle can’t!
And hang them somewhere where they can get a sunlight. So, near the window or on the terrace. Put the soil in every bottle and add seed. I recommend finding a soil from the forest. You can buy it, but it is not so got as the real forest soil. Take one whole plastic bottle, cut its bottom and drew a hole on its cap (small hole). Flip it and put it higher than the first bottle with soil and fill it with water. Add water to the every bottle and leave it. You only should to add water in the first (the only whole bottle) and it will reach to the bottom! You will see the result very fast.
